Reiki training

Learn a gentle energy healing practice to calm you and your loved ones.

To know what Reiki is, please read on in "Reiki healing" service page for more information.

Reiki training is open to everyone. This is a private, one‑to‑one course - there’s no group rush, and I’ll take the time needed to make sure you fully understand every step. If you resonate with the points below, this training is for you.

  • Calm: Learn practical techniques to calm your mind and body, reduce stress, and restore balance.

  • Help others: Learn gentle, effective methods to support others' healing.

  • Sensitive to energy: Develop skills to manage and protect your sensitivity to energy.

  • Caregiver: Add gentle Reiki techniques to support those you care for and yourself.

  • Massage therapist: Integrate Reiki with bodywork to deepen relaxation and healing.

  • Medical provider: Learn complementary skills to support patients’ comfort and well‑being.

  • Heal my family: Use Reiki at home to support loved ones and create a loving, peaceful environment.

  • Heal my pet: Learn how to give gentle Reiki to animals to support their comfort and healing.

As a massage therapist, I combine bodywork with Reiki to enhance relaxation and healing. I begin each session with clear, fresh energy. My clients consistently report positive results and leave sessions feeling refreshed and happy.

Outside of work I use Reiki daily - to soothe my child’s tummy ache, support my intentions, and bring more ease into family life. My dream is to make Reiki available in every household, and I’m excited to share this healing practice with everyone.

Recognition of Reiki's benefit

  • National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health

(The Federal Government’s lead agency for scientific research on complementary and integrative health approaches)

NCCIH includes Reiki among the various energy healing practices within the field of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). It acknowledges Reiki's growing popularity and has funded studies examining its effects, particularly in contexts like pain management and stress relief.

  • U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

The VA classifies Reiki as part of Energy Medicine and specifically under Biofield Therapies. It recognizes several complementary and integrative health approaches, with Reiki among those listed as optional therapies. Evidence suggests that Reiki has potential benefits for conditions such as anxiety, pain, and stress.

  • International Association of Reiki Professionals (IARP)

According to their study reported “America’s Best Hospitals” (the top 25 ranked by U.S. News and World Report in 2002), 60% of them had formal or informal Reiki programs in place. All hospitals using Reiki said that they believed Reiki to be at least somewhat beneficial for patients, and 67% said they believed Reiki to be highly beneficial.

  • American Hospital Association (AHA)

According to 2007 survey reported Reiki has gained widespread acceptance in U.S. healthcare, with over 800 hospitals - representing about 15% of facilities nationwide - incorporating it into patient care programs. This includes volunteer-led initiatives and paid positions in oncology, cardiology, and palliative care.

American Society of Directors of Volunteer Services of the American Hospital Association "Extraordinary Program Award" (2002)

As the number of Reiki requests increased hospital wide, so did the number of volunteers and sessions provided. In 1998, 10 volunteers provided 523 Reiki sessions. In 2012, approximately 40- 50 volunteers provided 3167 Reiki sessions. The total number of Reiki sessions provided over the 15 years is 58,214.

78% reduction in pain, 80% decrease in nausea, 86% improvement in sleep, and 94% reduction in anxiety.

St. Mary’s nationally-recognized Pediatric Palliative Care Program is designed to improve the care and quality of life for children with life-threatening, life-limiting, and/or chronic conditions and their families. Credited for pioneering the first inpatient pediatric palliative care program in the United States, St. Mary’s uses a holistic approach to palliative care, which combines complementary therapies such as art and music therapy, guided imagery, Reiki, therapeutic touch, and aromatherapy with more traditional pain and symptoms medical management modalities. • The Center for Reiki Research (CRR)

The CRR has produced a Reiki in Hospitals Workshop which details how to introduce, operate and maintain a Reiki program within a medical setting. There are currently over 1,000 Reiki programs in US hospitals.
CRR is studying whether Reiki can suppress the growth of human cancer cells. They ran three rounds of lab experiments using breast cancer cells and compared real Reiki with sham (placebo) Reiki. Overall, cells that received Reiki grew less than controls. When given one 15 minute session per day for three days, Reiki and placebo produced similar results. When treatment increased to two 15 minute sessions per day, Reiki-treated cells showed a noticeably larger reduction in growth than placebo.
